Deuce comes from a diverse team of artists led by emerging filmmaker Margot Budzyna, known for her atemporal visual style and distinct directorial vision. She co-wrote the script alongside Christian Tasiopoulos. The pair's recent short film RAPT was Executive Produced by Oscar-Winner Andrew Carlberg and has garnered significant acclaim at Oscar, BAFTA, and Goya Qualifying Festivals such as Palm Springs Shorts Fest (Best US Short Nominee), Hollyshorts, deadCenter, and Mammoth FF (Best Director, Best Actress, Best Short Nominee).

The film was created by a diverse, international team with an emphasis on LGBTQ inclusion across all departments.
